Wessex Archaeology has one of the largest and most dynamic IT sections in British archaeology.
Staff are drawn from a range of backgrounds including financial software development, professional IT management, senior level technical support and academic research in Archaeological Computing and Heritage Management.
In addition most staff are graduate archaeologists with experience of the full range of archaeological investigation, analysis and reporting. The section maintains strong links with both commercial information technology suppliers and higher education establishments in order to benefit from the latest in technological advances and theoretical approaches.
